Flash/C# Data Collection Software Developer

Realeyes' platform is backed by one of the world's largest facial expression databases and provides valuable input for branding and product development work.

Your goal will be in building robust and scalable media streaming solutions, to allow streams both from server to client and from client to server. You will be actively involved in devising and implementing solutions for integration with online video players, such as YouTube or Vimeo.

Responsibilities:

• Manage long running workflows of data collection sessions
• Transfer large amounts of data to our servers reliably without interfering with users
• Write software to work on elastic hardware configurations
• Ensure the security and integrity of collected data
• Integrate and control browsers like webkit or firefox
• Capture video streams from webcams and encode video in realtime
• Deploy software on a large scale utilising cloud computing technologies
• Optimize performance for real-time scenarios

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Expert knowledge of Flash, ActiveScript and C#
• Experience with .NET framework technologies like Windows Workflow Foundation, Windows Communication Foundation RIA Services and Windows Presentation Foundation
• Strong knowledge in OOA/D and SOLID principles and experience with TDD (Test Driven Development)
• Have good skills in understanding, reading and modifying existing code
• Good knowhow of security principles and technologies
• Experience with threading and parallel computing
• Very good written and spoken English skills

Desired skills:

• Experience with Cloud Computing solutions, such as Amazon Web Services
• Experience of working in an agile and iterative development environments such as Scrum, in cross-functional geographically diverse teams
• Experience in defining unit tests, UI tests and with other quality assurance methods
• University degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Familiarity with Atlassian Suite software management systems
• Experience with eye tracking or emotions tracking
