Software Test Engineer

You'll be responsible for defining blackbox/whitebox, functional, automated and smoke testing plans for development, staging and production environments, administering manual and automated test execution, liasing with developers to help them understand and eliminate discovered defects. You'll be in charge of what gets delivered to clients and what is returned to developers for reworking, helping ensure smooth unspoiled user experience for all of our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Build automated testing and Quality Assurance capability within Scrum teams
• Test highly scalable cloud based solutions, B2B web portals, SQL based databases and OLAP analytics systems, integration with 3rd party and local web services
• Take responsibility for all areas of functional testing within your team
• Design, plan, develop and execute automated tests
• Identify test tools, test environments, test data, test plans and harnesses needed to ensure successful testing of the developed software
• Use Atlassian Suite to manage defects ensuring they are correctly reported, escalated, tracked and retested in line with the test plans
• Ensure correctness and stability of continuously applied daily and weekly production system updates
• Pro-actively look for ways to improve quality and stability of our products, development processes and procedures

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Expert knowledge of software testing methodologies for systems based on ASP.NET MVC, JavaScript, relational DB engines.
• 3-5 years prior testing experience of world-class B2B web interfaces, using such testing frameworks as Selenium, JMeter, MSTest
• Good knowledge of quality and quality related metrics, experience with system health monitoring and data analysis frameworks such as Splunk
• Have good skills in understanding, reading and debugging systems and applications
• University degree, preferably in Computer Science
• Fluent with written and spoken English skills

Desired skills:

• Experience with Cloud Computing solutions, such as Amazon Web Services
• Experience of working in an agile and iterative development environments such as Scrum, in cross-functional geographically diverse teams
• Familiarity with Atlassian Suite software management systems
• Experience testing applications across multiple devices/environments, exposure to Android/iOS devices, testing of C++ applications is a plus
• Understanding of usability concepts, web analytics software, marketing automation, email marketing
• ISEB/ISTQB Certificate
